There are several different empanadas dough recipes. Some are easier to prepare than others, and some take more time. Here we will share one recipe that is in the medium range of difficulty and time of preparation.
For this recipe you will need to have the following ingredients: 400 grams of flour, 300 cm3 of water, 350 grams of butter, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
How to prepare it: Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them first with a spoon and then with your hands until it starts looking like a unity. Then put it on a table with flour and knead it until it becomes completely even.
Once the dough is even and soft, let it rest for about an hour. Then, stretch it until it has a thickness of about 1/3 cm, and cut it with a round shaped element of about 15 cm (a dish for example).
